Booking Your Dream BC Fishing Charter

Ready to experience first-class salmon fishing in remote British Columbia? It’s time to book your dream BC fishing charter.

For fishermen and women around the world, the cool waters of coastal British Columbia are like Disneyland — a bucket-list-worth destination where you can fish for all five species of Pacific Salmon as well as massive halibut. While you cast a line, watch for orcas and whales in the water, as well as other wildlife like wolves and bears along the wooded shorelines.

You could opt for one of the many fishing resorts Vancouver Island has to offer for your stay. But if you’re looking for a more unique experience — one that allows you to stay in British Columbia’s wild and beautiful wilderness — you’ll want to get away from the busier, more populated island. Ready to book your dream BC fishing charter? Keep reading to learn how to book your next stay at Sointula Lodge.

How Other Lodges Operate

Many fishing lodges operate similarly to any hotel. Guests can plan to stay for a night or two or a week, and come and go when they please. The lodge acts as their lodging, and they can then book daily fishing charters separately. While this can help make a trip more flexible if you’re limited on what dates you can travel, it is far from an all-inclusive experience. You’ll still need to do a lot of daily planning, and make sure to coordinate your characters for each day of your trip.

The Difference in Booking With Sointula Lodge

The best adventure resorts BC has to offer are different. Instead of guests booking random days, when you choose a trip through Sointula Lodge, you’ll first need to choose from the available sets of dates. We offer both 4- and 5-day charters on a rotating basis.

Our 5-day charters run from Monday through Friday for each week of our operating season, while the 4-day charters run Friday through Monday. If you’re limited on when you can travel, your choice of which package to book may be made for you. But if you have more flexibility, you’ll first need to decide between our two package options, then choose your dates.

With room for just 18 guests at a time, spots fill up fast for many dates throughout the season, so it’s best to book your trip as early as possible to guarantee your choice of dates.

What to Expect From the Best BC Fishing Charter

Whether you’ve been on a few fishing charters in the past or not, you likely have an idea of what to expect from a BC fishing charter. But if you’ve never had a chance to experience Sointula Lodge, you’re in for a surprise.

We are a different kind of fishing lodge. Our all-inclusive packages combine the rustic appeal of a remote fishing lodge with the luxury experience of a five-star resort. Each day, you’ll take to the water with just 2 to 3 other guests, along with an experienced guide. Your guide will be there to help with everything from baiting your hook to learning more about the wildlife you’ll spot while on the water.

After a long day of fishing, you’ll return to the Lodge for a multi-course gourmet meal, followed by evenings of relaxing around the campfire, taking in a sunset on the dock, or unwinding in the hot tub or old-fashioned Finnish sauna. Your guides will prep the fish you caught that day, and store them for you until your trip is over, at which time they’ll be carefully packed in wax boxes for you to take home to enjoy.

An Alternative to Our Fishing Charters

Spending several days casting a line for salmon and halibut isn’t on everyone’s bucket list. But this doesn’t mean that you won’t love a visit to Sointula Lodge. Our fully customizable Wilderness Tours offer an alternative for those who prefer spotting wildlife and exploring remote islands to fishing, or for those who want to fish while still saving some time for other activities during their stay. Our Wilderness Tours are available during the same trip dates as our Fishing Packages. They offer the same perks and amenities, like delicious meals, our luxurious, rustic accommodations, and experienced staff there to help you make the most of your stay.
